We don’t often post book reviews here, but “Express Exec,” by our own Gary Brose of Fleetfoot Messenger Service, is a page-turner for anyone in any aspect of the business world.
Gary is the author of three other business books and a serial entrepreneur who’s owned more than 20 businesses in his career. This time, he took the advice of a friend and wrote this book in novel form—rather than the familiar format of 10 or more instructional points. It traces the challenge and travails of Andrea, a manager in a failing old-school vase-manufacturing firm, who single-handedly (with sage advice from her uncle) saves the day—providing plenty of implicit present-day management principles along the way.
