Thanks to those who submitted nominations for the new 20 OF 2020 Awards, recognizing those who have risen to the challenge in innovative and resourceful ways to sustain their businesses and support their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Click on the cover above to view the digital publication of the award recipients. Among the more recognizable names are developer Kemper Freeman, Jr., and travel guru Rick Steves. The actual number of recipients is 21, with awards going to the brother team of Ken and Tim Robinson, co-publishers of the Westside Seattle weekly newspaper.
Mike Flynn, who spearheaded and chaired the 20 OF 2020 Organizing Committee, created similar event during his tenure as publisher of the Puget Sound Business Journal, including the annual 40 Under 40, Women of Influence and 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies. Flynn said he hopes that the COVID Awards “will only be a one-year event.”
He had asked that we post the nominating form here “because the marcomm community is in close touch with what’s happening in the business community in general.” That proved to be the case.
