BrandQuery did the branding for the new Northwater restaurant at the Bellingham Airport, as part of a Holiday Inn development there by the Hotel Services Group.

Principal Jacque Beamer said the key objectives were to: Create a brand identity based on the restaurant’s promise of delivering fresh, locally sourced ingredients; develop collateral that would resonate with local residents, inbound travelers and Canadian residents; and ensure that the identity translated well across multiple platforms

The deliverables included development of a water theme and the creation of supporting pieces that included the identity, menus, signage, a website, wine-bottle labeling and product packaging.

Beamer said the restaurant “is seeing strong growth in its first six months of operation.”

The Mt. Vernon-based agency also developed the key messaging and marketing strategy that helped the Skagit Valley Family YMCA rase nearly $13 million for a new, modern facility. BQ’s work included focus groups, campaign website, look book, promotional video, signage and collateral materials. According to Beamer, the effort “succeeded in positioning the local YMCA as a cornerstone in Skagit Valley’s history and in communicating its community legacy and impact.”
