Bob Frause is the latest recipient of the coveted Jay Rockey Lifetime Achievement Award for the Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Bob is shown at right receiving the award from Rockey at the recent PRSA chapter meeting.
Said Frause, a 38-year PR veteran and principal of the agency bearing his name: “The most meaningful part of receiving [this award] was the presentation of the award by Jay himself. He’s the iconic Seattle PR practitioner and it’s pure joy to be recognized by PRSA and Jay at the same time.
Bob said his “most gratifying” experience was serving as a member of the PRSA Board of Ethics and Professional Standards team that drafted the new Code of Ethics in 2000. He served as chair of the national group from 1995 to 2001 and again from 2007 to 2009.
He is chairman/CEO of Frause, an award-winning firm with 21 people in Seattle and Portland. He has a B.A. degree in journalism from Seattle U. and has written on PR and marketing topics.
Other award recipients included:
- David Marriott of Gogerty Marriott, Public Relations Professional of the Year.
- R. Danner Graves, the Graves Group, the Hugh Smith Community Service Award.
- Neil Neroutsos, Snohomish County PUD, President’s Volunteerism Award.
