The deadline for entries in the 2017 Seattle AAF Advertising Awards (aka ADDYs) has been extended to 5pm Friday, Feb. 3. A spokesperson said “this is the final, final deadline” and that all entries received after 5pm, Jan. 27 will be charged a $30 late fee.
Entries must be delivered to the School of Visual Concepts at 2300 7th Ave., Ste. B, in Seatte. The cost of entry ranges from $140 for non-member campaigns to $50 for a student entry. Visit www.aafseattle.com for entry information.
The American Advertising Awards attracts more than 40,000 entries annually in local AAF club competitions, which is the first of a three-tiered process. Local winners compete with winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. And district ADDY winners are forwarded to the national competition. A Gold ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and those considered worthy of recognition receive a Silver ADDY.
Seattle ADDY winners will be announced at the annual gala from 6 to 9pm, Thursday, March 16 at the Waterfront Marriott in Seattle. The winner of the coveted AAF Silver Medal for career achievement in advertising, selected by a panel of previous recipients, also will be recognized.
